Even if the summer vacation is probably over by then, there is still another highlight for airbrushers to look forward to in late summer: The Fantasy World of Airbrush in Grefrath, Germany. The international airbrush exhibition traditionally opens its doors on the last weekend in August, this time on August 24/25, as part of the US Car Show. Over 70 artists from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland and Great Britain have announced their participation, many of them long-standing "members" of the Grefrath family, but also many new, young talents. For example, the Kustom-Store from Moers will be showing the art of its most loyal customers at its stand and the Airbrush-Fachverband e.V. will also be bringing along a handful of its artistic members. Bex Denton from England and Robert Ganczarski from Poland and, for the first time, his "countrywoman" Ellen Olson will probably be traveling the longest distances again. The commercial stands of ColorAir Fine Art & Airbrush, Kustom-Store, Schmincke, Herterich Products and Airbrush Step by Step will also be inviting visitors to gather information and make purchases.
Due to the positive feedback last year, the organizing team around Daisy van den Bergh, Hugo Vervliet and Katja and Roger Hassler have once again invited the exhibiting artists to take part in an airbrush competition. This time it's about the very American task of brushing a T-shirt. Participants will receive the T-shirt on site and have until Saturday lunchtime to complete their creation. The works will be presented and awarded prizes in the afternoon.
The Fantasy World of Airbrush takes place on both days of the event from 10 am to 6 pm at the Eissportzentrum in Grefrath. Admission costs 12 euros per day in advance or 20 euros for the whole weekend.
