Colorful Body Painting to Brighten Up the Gloomy Fall Mood: WBF Awards in November
When Austria’s international makeup scene meets the world of photography, images are created that will last a lifetime. On November 14 & 15, 2026, the Austrian Bodypainting & Makeup Awards will take place as part of the renowned Photo+Adventure trade show at the Pyramide Vösendorf. Organized by the World Bodypainting Association (WBA), the event promises a visual spectacle of the highest caliber. The competition features the categories Classic Bodypainting, Beauty Makeup, Creative Makeup, and Facepainting. In each category, participants must create their work based on a specified theme.
For those who prefer to do or enjoy body painting at home, we recommend the WBF Online Awards: These will take place November 20–22, 2026. In the categories Face Painting, Body Painting Brush/Sponge, and Body Painting Open, artists will create their works in their own studios on the designated day. There are set rules; at the end, photos and a description of the work must be uploaded to the World Bodypainting Festival website. A jury evaluates the entries anonymously, and the winners are announced one week later via online streaming.
