TIPS FOR STEP BY STEP AUTHORS
In General
- Step by Step article can feature any kind of artwork: automotive painting, fine art, bodypainting, modelling, T-Shirt and sneaker art, nail art, cake decoration and much more
- You make the suggestion. We don’t dictate artists what to paint and which materials to use. You have your full artistic freedom.
- We don’t set deadlines. We are searching for articles at any time. We can only publish what is finished. And art doesn’t need time pressure. This is why we only plan and schedule article, that we have available.
Send suggestions
Send us your suggestions, ideas and offers without any obligation - you can send us photos of your Step by Step artwork (only finished artwork for preview!) or work examples quickly and easily by e-mail or WhatsApp. Please give our editorial team some time to look through your messages and pictures. We will definitely get back to you!

- Label the paragraphs with the name of the corresponding image file.
- The text should be between 600 and 1000 characters (including spaces) long per image.
- Please address the reader as "you" if you are using a direct address: "It is best to take three drops of water ..."
- When describing your approach, use "I": "For this picture, I use an airbrush from ..."
- In your text, don't just describe the process of creating the picture ("I spray the clouds with white"), but also explain the way you work. E.g.: "Afterwards, white jittered lines are applied as cloud contours. Below the lines, the clouds are then given more volume. Work in this area with water-thinned white and at a greater distance from the painting ground"

Editorial process
- Please be patient with us: Once we have received an article, we will schedule it for an issue. It all depends on the right mix. We may therefore have to postpone an article for a few months until the subject matter is right.
- Once we have received your contribution and the issue has been decided on, the editorial team will revise your contribution as necessary for reader comprehension, completeness and spelling/grammar.
- If there are any gaps in the text or queries, the editorial team will ask for your additions.
- The finished article will be submitted to you again before going to press.
- Before publication, you will receive a rights of use agreement from the editorial team to sign. This agreement guarantees your copyrights and grants the publisher a six-month exclusive right as well as a permanent non-exclusive right of use. Changes to this agreement are possible by arrangement.
