The "French Curve Organic Edge", developed and produced by American photorealism professional Dru Blair, offers the familiar shape of a curve stencil, but the inside of the stencil also contains an organic texture made up of randomly arranged dots of different sizes. This means that edges and textures can be worked out in one go without having to change the stencil.
Its outer edge is also not as smooth and straight as usual, but slightly frayed. This additional feature means that natural, organic edges such as those found in nature or in portraits can be made even more realistic. Because in nature, even "hard edges" are never really sharp and smooth.
Another special feature of the stencil is the small "pimples" on one side of the stencil: the small bumps ensure that the stencil does not lie completely flat on the surface, but "floats" slightly. This softens sharp edges a little and makes them appear more natural. If you don't need this option, the raised areas can simply be carefully removed with sandpaper.
